We have started Cream Brabanter chicks for sale. These are very entertaining rare birds.

We have a limited number of Cream Brabanter chicks for sale. They are 5 days to 5 weeks old.  At this age, they are not fully feathered and still require a heat lamp.

We've sold the rooster, so we are no longer hatching.

These funky dinosaurs with big personalities are known for their quirky character. They'll quickly become flock favorites! They are the most winter-hardy of the ornamental chickens (Polish, Houdans, Crevecoeurs). Here's a link to an informative article about this rare, and unusual, fun breed!

My son, Andrew & I started a dino chicken rental business in the COVID spring of 2020. It's been great fun and very rewarding to see so many new folks taking up chicken keeping! Kids love it!

Chicken Coop and Laying Hen rental is $595 base rate for the whole season!

We are also now taking applications for volunteer interns (of all ages) who want to learn more about Urban Farming, Chicken Keeping, Permaculture, and Aquaponics, as we begin to open the first dedicated school of Permaculture in the Greater Boston area! 

Our non-profit corp., www.SAVEfarms.org will be offering classes and expanded instruction at a later date, or by appointment more immediately.

Greetings!

We have a limited number of fresh frozen heritage soup roosters for sale, whole bird only. They were hatched and raised here at Our Dino Farm. 

This past Saturday the roosters were processed at a USDA facility, Baffoni's Poultry Farm in RI (cost $6/bird).

All of these roos were either Gold Laced Wyandottes or Gold Laced Wyandotte crossed with Speckled Sussex. We are selling them below cost, at $6/lb, which we think is appropriate for a backyard soup chicken (cost is around $10/lb). The smallest are around 2.5 lbs and the larger ones are over 4 lbs.

If you've never eaten a heritage rooster before, it's nothing like what;s for sale in the supermarket. These birds ran around and did all the things that roosters do. They were not bred for meat. They have small breasts. When I bit into a leg I immediately thought of the taste of a turkey leg! Super nutritious!
